The Men's Salomon X Ultra 5 Mid GTX Shoe is a protective yet lightweight shoe for hiking. Designed for mixed terrain, it's easy going on the trails whether wet, dry, muddy, or packed. The Matryx upper is incredibly durable against trail debris and backed with GORE-TEX for waterproof, breathable protection. Underfoot, the Conta-grip outsole grips the trail, with Advanced Chassis for support.

- Energy Cell: A high-performance EVA foam that provides shock attenuation
- Advanced CHASSIS: Advanced Chassis is a molded insert embedded in the outsole and providing strong lateral support and reassuring protection, it also delivers optimal mobility and flexibility
- Matryx: A high-performance textile designed to resist abrasion with individually coated high-tenacity Kevlar and technical yarn - that also make it light and breathable
- Textile lining: A soft, breathable lining for extreme comfort
- Sensi-fit : Sensi-fit cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, snug, and virtually customized fit all around the foot
- Active Support: Mobile wings help hold the foot in place and accompany the movement, adapting to the shape and volume
- Molded Ortho Lite sock liner: Molded to match the contours of the foot, this Ortho Lite insole provides superior cushioning, breathability and durability, to upgrade the comfort and performance of the shoe
- Regular laces: Traditional lacing system with eyelets
- GORE-TEX PFC free: This ultra-light GORE-TEX membrane combines a lower environmental footprint with waterproof performance and reliable breathability and based on expanded Polyethylene (ePE)
