Head Vector XP 100 Ski Boots -
Head's Vector series is like the big brother to the Head Edge series. The Vector's are bigger, and stronger, but still have a fantastic level of comfort that the Edge lineup is known for. These Vector 100 feature a 102mm last width and an adjustable flex rating that adjusts from 90 on the soft end to 100 on the stiff end. These boots are advanced, to be sure, as the fairly high flex and fancy features would indicate--but these are comfortable advanced boots. These are amazingly versatile, especially for the skier who spends half the time going fast and furious, and the other half of the time on bunny hills with the kids and fam.
Fit, Comfort + Liner
102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types.
40mm strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.
Macro adjust ladder: The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs.
Tri-Injected Energy Frame Shell: Most ski boots are Bi-Injected into the mold to create two different densities of plastic. Head went ahead and did one better, tri-injection molding. This means there are three levels of plastic density instead of two, meaning the transition from the stiff/dense sole of the boot to the lighter upper-cuff of the boot is more fluid. This in turn makes your skiing smoother and the boot has a more predictable flex throughout all parts of the boot.
